Aha, finally a travel post! This is delayed but then again every travelogue has its own story and even if you went to the same places everytime, it is the company who matters. Yes, we all say that, too.
Photobombing more here.
Friends’ Audi, Carl, Ian, the boyfriend and I went to Bohol for one weekend and stayed at Alona Tropical Beach Resort. Alona Tropical hasn’t changed much from my last visit in 2005 but I’m glad they still maintained the landscape and the earthy vibe of the place. It also helps that it is situated at the farthest left part of Panglao Beach – you can have the peace and quiet you want and still walk a few meters to the center of Panglao Beach where all the action is. Think of Alona Tropical Beach Resort as a resort in Station 3 Boracay!
There is a special Thai restaurant, ISIS, at the far end of Panglao that serves really, really good spareribs, phad thai and tom yum soup. It was quite a far walk but Panglao entertains you with seafood display on the side and a few collections of trinkets being sold in the shore like how it is in Station 2, Boracay.
We couldn’t pass up this chance to visit Guisseppe Restaurant in Bohol and got ourselves seated at the 2/F of their function room where they stock all their wines and bottled herbs. Imagine dining amongst the spices and smells of decanted liqueur.
