I guess one of the things that can sum up this Boracay trip of ours is purely gastronomic! For two days, we were just lounging by the pool, sleeping on sunbeds at the beachfront, pigging out on lobsters at Talipapa and shopping those generic shell blings. Definitely a rich experience, mind you, mga feeling kings and queens. Hey, isn’t that what vacations are for? Spending, eating and indulging so much you would be paupers when you get back to your old life?
Just a few restaurants away from Boracay Regency is Epic Boracay, a restaurant that none of us will miss because of its close promixity to D’Mall and practically everything else in Station 2. Situated at the center, the restaurant’s open-door policy charms a natural-born foodie or anyone else in particular.
Hardly indoor restaurants attract tourists because everyone wants to be outside and within reach of the crowd. We have been swimming the entire afternoon and wanted to engorge on Epic’s famous dishes for dinner. I say, the best time to eat dinner would be at 5pm where you would still catch what is left of the sapphire blue horizon from the sunset.
The interiors of Epic Boracay are modern, tasteful and classy, something our friends from Republiq, Distillery, Opus, Tides and Manor can truly claim as their trademark. As expected, Epic’s menu selection is limitless and quite pricey.
Epic’s famous lamb chops are love! Very succulent to the nth level of its literal sense! I love that it does not smell like rotten meat.
Epic’s baby back ribs are divine. Fall off the bones – rich sauce – I can already feel my neck starting to throb!
Epic Boracay’s Fish and Chips
Another favorite is Epic’s Buffalo Chicken Wings. Hot!
After dinner, you probably shed off those calories when the restaurant turns into a dance bar and houses the best DJs from the island.
