June 2011 – Happy Father’s Day, pop! Love you!
The entire crew arrived on the Saturday of Father’s Day weekend and despite my offer on staying at my apartment, the mother wanted to check out Hotel Elizabeth Cebu.
We love Hotel Elizabeth! The interiors are tastefully done. Tessa Prieto-Valdes is quite handy in the paneling and designing department. You’d think that because of her quirkiness and personality, she’d be having fascinators or mink coats all over the place.
Hotel Elizabeth’s weekend rates are at P2,500 with no breakfast. We were given their superior room with two double beds. The flat screen TV is tiny. I’m happy that I didn’t have to lug my hair dryer with me as the hotel offers one free. One thing that I find ridiculous though is the P150/hr internet use. Mygollywow! You’d think we don’t have internet access in our own homes!
//update – So sorry – I forgot to mention about the free wifi the hotel has 🙂
I played tour guide again and brought them to Mesa Moderne Filipino Grill which obviously WE ARE NOT GOING BACK AGAIN for so MANY reasons –
Tsim Tsa Tsui –
…and Oh, George in Ayala Center Cebu –
Oh, George spinach cheese!
Vanessa gorging on their New York pizzas
…and Sutukil in Mactan.
We love the grilled platters in La Mesa except that because the place is always full, the service sucks. I do not think anyone wants to go dine at a place that they are constantly stressed at the servers and food despite the raving reviews about their celebrated meals. We once dined in La Mesa and had to walk out because of a 1-hr delay. They even served us sinigang where the fish tasted like it has been in the freezer for years! Ewww.
Happy Father’s Day, poppa! 🙂 Love you to bits!
