Somewhere in Barangay Guinoyoran in the City of Valencia in Bukidnon province in the southern Philippines is a crater lake that Warner Bros should look into using as the next Lochness Monster set location.
The trip took almost 2 hours and the Barangay’s unpaved road wasn’t helping. The view when you get there – worth it. No entrance charge – just a minimal fee of P5 for parking your private cars.
Surrounded by greens, myrtles, ferns, wildflowers, and pristine waters, the lake is the perfect moment for anyone to go into catatonic mode and just stare at the body of water all day and not be judged. She is absolutely beautiful. It begs you to just let go and enjoy her ambiance, serenity and stillness.
Dr. Almer Alfonso, a local of the place, owns the lodging across the shoreline. You would have to cross the 18-hectare and 17 to 26 meters in depth of water to check it out.
Directions on how to get there from Cagayan de Oro is here.
