Nah, not me. I can’t wear forest green on my big day. My friend Tihn got hitched last January 30 the month after Sobie did and I had to fly to Cagayan de Oro again. Not that I’d mind but the weekend was entirely all about Tin and her big day.
On the eve of her wedding we had a mini rehearsal where we were only required to make one dry run and then I was allowed to chase the little kids around. So cute!
We stopped by at Candys Restaurant for dinner.
And VeNu 🙂
Tihn booked a room for us bridesmaids at the Harbor City Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City where her wedding reception was so that we could all have our makeup done together. I arrived there two hours before the church ceremonies all fully made up. I’m not so keen on having anyone put makeup on me with the same makeup sponge they use on other faces. No offense to my friends but the makeup artist should be vigilant about using a new set of q-tip or makeup sponge.
See I did my own makeup. Eyes: Dior in Green, Brows: Clarins Brow Highlighter, Face: CoverGirl Olay Ageless Cheek: ULTA Bronzer Lips: Lancome in Rouge
at the hotel room fooling around hahaha
So anyway, Jay and I were playing with my new camera before the wedding ceremonies.
The boyfriend mostly took these shots.
Check out the two piece dress by cebu fashion designer Yves Camingue. Sweet, right? 🙂 The church was at San Lorenzo up there at Sta. Cecilia (I think) and the whole place is airconditioned! Yey, to retouch-free makeup!

Of course, the iyakin in me can’t help it. When our girl walked down that aisle, I bit my lip and met Xenia’s eyes. She was crying, too! Now we were bawling even before Tihn got to Jon. The camera crew were quick to capture that moment – no, not Tihn meeting Jon but us crying our eyes out! How mean! Hahaha.

So fast forward to the wedding reception where my bestie Warren and I were at our most favorite spot – at the center and master of ceremonies! We didn’t need any script but followed the program flow with our usual banter like we were the only ones in the room.
The wedding coordinator didn’t really do much creativeness in the programs. The singles game at weddings should be risque, fun and out of this world. The coordinator just tapped my shoulder and said, “It is time for the bouquet and garter throwing.”
Whoop de woo! I said (to the audience of course), “I can’t join this singles game of catching the bouquet. I’ve been catching that bouquet so many times and here I am still. Single. God is telling me something.” Warren left me off the hook and excluded me from the game.
Guess who won the garter toss? Guess! Guess!
Very funny, guys. It took all my willpower to watch them. Ugh.
Aww. The photo-op. Aren’t we lovelyyy??
I don’t know who else is getting hitched this year besides Roselle who will be having her wedding day on August. But that’s a long time pa. Toodles! 🙂
